Discussion:
[dart-misc] dart < 1.12.0 disappeared from apt repos

Seems like dart versions <1.12.0 were removed from the official apt repos?
Was that an accident?

And may I ask why /usr/lib/dart/bin is not added to PATH by the .deb
package?

Thanks & regards

I can put them back in. We just weren't aware that anyone was using
them. You can always get them by downloading them directly from
www.dartlang.com, and unzipping them. But I will put stable versions
(the final version of each stable release?) back in tomorrow.

Final versions of stable releases will be fine.

Yes, I could always download and unzip. But for provisioning and easy
version switching I prefer the repo.

Thanks a lot.

And on the PATH thing again. Would it be possible to have the
/usr/lib/dart/bin added to PATH by the .deb or is there a reason not to?

I would like to access an armv7, raspberry pi 2, 1.12 build in zip file at
dartlang.org
or via a repo. This would save me installing ubuntu 14.04.

Or is there a way to build for arm on rasppbery pi 2 or on arm chromebook
running crouton?

thanks

We were just talking about providing an arm SDK and a MIPS SDK. We have
the dart executables built already. I'll put them up.

That is cool, for me the executables would be great, I am a hobbyist
programmer, keen to put dart to work my raspberry pi.
If you want to wait until you ready to put the full SDK up, that is cool, I
have 1.11 at the moment.
Am interested if having the full sdk available, for the raspberry pi, if
dart would be a language options for schools.

Thanks

The SDKs for ARMv7 (meaning it will not run on Rasberry Pi 1, but it
will on Rasberry Pi 2) and MIPS little-endian (mipsle) have been
uploaded for version 1.12.0. To use the SDK, unzip it, and add the
dart-sdk/bin directory to your path. The SDKs include dart, dart2js,
pub, dartanalyzer, dartfmt, and the docgen tools.

They are at

https://storage.googleapis.com/dart-archive/channels/stable/release/1.12.0/sdk/dartsdk-linux-arm-release.zip

and

https://storage.googleapis.com/dart-archive/channels/stable/release/1.12.0/sdk/dartsdk-linux-mipsle-release.zip

There is also a tar.gz copy of the ARM SDK at
https://storage.googleapis.com/dart-archive/channels/stable/release/1.12.0/sdk/dartsdk-arm.tgz

The directory can be viewed with the unsupported tool gsdview:
http://gsdview.appspot.com/dart-archive/channels/stable/release/1.12.0/sdk/

Are there any plans to make the ARMv7 builds official and part of the
automatically builds? I appreciate the 1.12.0 builds but I can see with
1.12.1 the ARMv7 version is gone again:

http://gsdview.appspot.com/dart-archive/channels/stable/release/1.12.1/sdk/

Also, it would be nice if these builds could be found on the dartlang.org
download page:
